The more things change… the more we stay the same.

It’s not just a song on the last Bon Jovi album. In 1801, Thomas Jefferson wanted to turn the clock back. After three terms of Federalist Party presidents, he wanted to turn the clock way back past the 1790s to the 1780s and the post-revolution era.

Jefferson’s main goal was to pay off the debt we incurred to fight the revolution. He was a small government Republican.

There were rumors that Alexander Hamilton was George Washington’s illegitimate child.

Sound familiar? This is exactly why I wanted to read these bios. The more things change… the more we stay the same. Seriously. It’s a great Bon Jovi song. Check iTunes for it today.

Looking forward to other Bon Jovi songs that may apply to your journey with the Prezes! No, but seriously, really looking forward to posts on your readings.
